Re: Linux: QCAD Menu Disappeared
IPhilPot. I have one other QT made application running. The issue is not present on the previous version while that application is running also. Ubuntu 16.04 is an LTS release and is supported until 2021. So no, it is not unsupported.

Re: Linux: QCAD Menu Disappeared
I will post a screen grab video for you when I get back in from my travels. The menus appear at first. I will also try the snapshot as you suggest. Thank you Andrew, always, for your quick responses. I will be back Monday and I will re-post then. Sorry I can’t be quicker as my laptop is running Wind...

Re: Linux: QCAD Menu Disappeared
I have had two instances with two separate computer installs with Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS where this is happening with the Unity desktop and it is happening with QCAD Pro 3.23.0. The menus are there at first when you open the program. As soon as I use the File/Open dialogue and bring in a dxf File succes...

Re: view 2 drawings side by side
Just open the drawing you want and then use the Import feature to open the second drawing on the same screen. But what it sounds like you want is the ability to place the already opened tabbed drawings on different monitors by designation.

Re: SOLVED. Tangential Arc drawing off of another arc.
CVH. You are right. The results are two different solutions. The first one is tangential, the other way as Husky suggested is just a trim of two congruent arcs. I tried rotating the result to make it fit on top of the existing two arcs drawn with Tangent Circle tool. It was close but not and exact f...

Thanks Husky. That is how AlphaCam works and does it. Didn't think to try that either. That is even faster.

SOLVED Re: Tangential Arc drawing off of another arc.
Thank you CVH. That worked just fine. I was so focused on an ARC function I didn't even think to look in Circles. I can handle exploding and trimming as desired.

SOLVED. Tangential Arc drawing off of another arc.
I use a CAD/CAM program called DDX Easystone in addition to QCAD, and in their software, it has limited cad tools but the ones it does have are simple and powerful at the same time. In the attached dxf file of a traditional countertop drawing, I am trying to draw two arcs that connect tangentially. ...

Also command line will allow this using the @ symbol in front of your coordinates in this format (@5.2,0) of your selected original/previous point

Slow start up
I can say after the April Win10 update my QCAD/QCAM takes 5 minutes to load from startup before it is stable and useable. I just boot to my Linux partition now to use it.

Mobile version of QCAD Pro
Is there anything in the works for a mobile version for tablets. If not, Andrew would you want to consult and get paid to develop one for some friends of mine in Portland, OR

Who keeps up with number of installs
Hello I have 2 paid individual license for my laptop and my employee's laptop, (Windows version) and then tonight my company just purchased the 20 user license pack through the website. Do I need to keep up with the amount of machines this gets installed to or does the software know when I have 20 L...

Re: Using a List of Coordinates / Importing Coordinates
Could this be taking a step further by running a script that initiates the opening of a selected csv file and using the script to input these for you. We do this very same thing to trace shapes and this would speed up the manually cut and pasting that our students would be doing. If this is possible...

Thank you Clive. This method seems very trivial and I will use it for my next drawings

Re: Hatching workaround - for diagrammatic purposes only!
Clive this is awesome. I vote this as a good avenue to do hatching. I am used to tracing on digitizers and this will be a breeze.
Thank you so much. I feel honored you would use my drawing as a help me doc.
