Re: Spelling...
Thanks to all for the tips..... I'm on x64 Linux though.... Arch Linux to be specific. So I'll be using a spelling enabled editor that includes EOL/NL info unlike Word, or LibreOffice for that matter....GEdit is spelling enabled, and I'll be using it as spell checker, copies EOL/NL when copied, and ...

Spelling...
I'm not seeing a spell checker in the software. As I am new to QCad, I may be missing something. If there is not a spell checker, then I'll write my text in a word proc, spell check it, then paste it into QCad's t,e, edit box. Just asking for validation or a pointer to a plugin if one exists. Thanks...

Re: [SOLVED] Snap Spacing
Do you have any issues if I compare the two files and attempt to fix the new file? I also do professional coding in C/C++. JavaScript will be a little know to me but "diff", or "meld) are wonderfull programs for determining where the file has changes, and potentially fix... If I do implement a repai...

Re: [SOLVED] Snap Spacing
Hello Clive, And thanks for responding. I already hide the command bar with g, m. It's just not necessary once you memorize the shortcuts, and the keyboard shortcuts take little time indeed. And I gain another "row" of screen display by moving the "Options arrow" to the line above it. QCad actually ...

Re: Snap Spacing
Yes, that is the box I meant.... It usually shows up under the arrow at the very, very top. And if you right click it, you get a bunch of options, one of which is to turn off "Options"...But it doesn't remain persistent.. On the grid issue, thank you. I'll use the workarounds until it gets fixed. Th...

[SOLVED] Snap Spacing
Good Afternoon, In my drawings, I like the auto grid feature. I wish to change it's behaviour so as I zoom in, the grid automatically adjusts itself to be denser, sooner. I've played aroung witht he various setting inthe Application Preferences, and nothing I change seems to have an impact. I've als...

Re: [SOLVED] Snap Options Question
Symantic issues on my part. When I select the "entities" snap mode.....It sticks like I suspected it should. Drawing a line works exactly like I want it to. In my previous CAD package, "Intersection" was the term that worked for me when I wanted it to snap to an intersection where the existing and n...

Re: Snap Options Question
I'm afraid I had to unmark this thread as unsolved. In practice, this selction only makes matters worse. It seems to affect selected items on the drawing. And whole the selection sticks when selecting a snap mode. It still doesn't follow through as previously noted. In fact, the UI becomes unrespons...

Re: Snap Options Question
Outstanding! And thank you for the suggestions. You see I was looking for the snap setting in the wrong place. I already use qq, so it is not an issue. In fact, I really like the keyboard shortcuts and find them easier to remember than AutoCAD. I appreciate the heads up, knew it was something I was ...

[SOLVED] Snap Options Question
When working on a drawing that has become dense, the auto snap tool is causing me some problems. I am a recent porter from AutoCAD Lt. On other cad packages that QCad has replaced, I could tell snap to be specific: "Intersection" "geometry", "grid", etc. This then aided dense drawings and saved me t...
