Re: GCode-File

The "Choose" or "Wählen" button should indeed pop up a file dialog. I cannot reproduce the problem here but it does look like the post processor did not load correctly there ("Datei Endungen" should contain something as well). Perhaps a problem when copying the file contents from this forum? Note al...

Re: GCode-File

I need the machine to move to a special position, move the spindle upwarts, stop the spindle and wait for action when the toolchange is done. Than it has to go on working that GCode file. Therefore I would like to have this postprocessor. Sure, this is all no problem, but more a matter of preferenc...

Re: GCode-File

They must have build in a kind of filescheck that causes the problem. There's nothing hidden or secret about simple text files. There's the contents (i.e. the "Bytes") which would be identical after a correct conversion to CR/LF, there's the file name and path and there are file permissions (readab...

Re: Scaling zooms in and out drives me crazy.

Pro is about $40 correct? Yes. Need to do more testing. First tell me how to stop the scaling from zooming in and out. Please elaborate. QCAD does not zoom in / out by itself. Perhaps you are referring to the automatic grid scaling? This only affects the grid display. The reason for this is that th...

Re: Problem with line type when converting DWG to PDF

That would be caused by the linetype scale (LTSCALE) of 20.

Try this:

Code: Select all

dwg2dwg -s INSUNITS:1 -s LTSCALE:0.2 -f -o CAD_fixed.dwg CAD.dwg

dwg2pdf -a -c -d -f -n -l -w 0.1 -fs romans standard -fs romand standard -o CAD.pdf CAD_fixed.dwg

Re: GCode-File

The files are identical apart from Z safety level (Z100 / Z50) and line breaks. Changing the line breaks would make them identical in terms of formatting. There is really no other invisible magic, these are simple plain text files.

Same problem here with "dwg2bmp", did this feature make it to 3.22.1?

Re: Deactivate hatches for batch raster convert

No, not out of the box.
You could write your own script if you are fluent in JavaScript (starting point: https://qcad.org/en/tutorial-command-line-tool-scripts).

Thanks for the details.
Please attach both files, the Windows one that does work and the Linux one that does not work, thanks.

Re: GCode-File

Again, please do let me know which post processor you've used before (the one you said worked under Windows), that would be most helpful. Of course a post processor can be created once we do have all the info required... M6 for tool changes is no problem. Perhaps you can also attach a working exampl...

Re: Problem with line type when converting DWG to PDF

The drawing unit is set to "None". I think Trueview might assume "Inch" in this case. If you open the drawing in QCAD and set Edit > Drawing Preferences > General > Drawing Unit > Drawing Unit to "Inch", it will display as desired. Using command line tools, you can set the drawing unit using dwg2dwg...

Re: GCode-File

Try this: File name: "postprocessors/RemoteWin.js" Contents: include("GCodeBase.js"); function RemoteWin(documentInterface, newDocumentInterface) { GCodeBase.call(this, documentInterface, newDocumentInterface); this.decimals = 4; this.unit = RS.Millimeter; // don't use G41/G42: this.outputOffsetPath...

Re: GCode-File

Yes, you will need your own, custom post processor for this. I don't know what post processor you are currently using, so I'm assuming "G-Code (G41/G42) [mm]", that's G-Code with G41/G42 for radius compensation and output in Millimeter. Create a file "postprocessors/MyGCode.js" in your QCAD/CAM fold...
