Re: Is there a way to make Ordinate Dimensions 1 Line

Nope. Not to my knowledge. BTW - I appreciate the possibility to control the outcome of the style simply with the ALT key. But everybody has his/her own preference ...

Re: Printing / PDF Export Line type/weight - lines disappear

We don't have all info's - so I have to ask my crystal ball :D Here my wild guess. The drawing has layers with black and white attributes - I don't know why ... Application Preferences / Appearance is set to Color Adjustment: "Prevent white on white / black on black display" - works nice in ...

Re: Hi, I'm Russ

Hi Russ - thank you for introducing yourself. Welcome to the QCAD forum. I look forward to expanding my skills with the help of others on this board. And maybe providing a little help, as well! After I understood how QCAD "ticks" it was pretty much self-explaining. Browsing this forum helps too beca...

Re: Printing / PDF Export Line type/weight - lines disappear

Sometimes I have some missing lines, dots, text, etc. in a printout. I have the same missing bits and pieces when I do a PDF export by using the print dialogue and the Microsoft PDF writer. What exactly is missing? If I compare the QCAD drawing with the QCAD pdf result I can't really see what is wr...

Re: [ workaround ] Negative values with ordinate dimensions

Thanks for the dxf.

I have two bad news for you:
1. I gave you a wrong stretch area ....
2. It is not a QCAD bug ... :D

Try to stretch this area and compare it to the working horizontal dim stretch:

Re: [ workaround ] Negative values with ordinate dimensions

I don't need to sketch it, I know it won't Correct - but that is exactly the same what happens with the coordinate dim. If you don't include the origins of the measurement it will fail. Try this in Qcad see what happens ;-) I know what happens but I don't think you can compare that with QCAD. Try t...

are we on the same page?
Not yet :D

Try this with a Horizontal Dim: Stretch it like shown in this screenshot. Will the measurement change?

Re: [ workaround ] Negative values with ordinate dimensions

Thanks - but that is exactly what I'm talking about. e_surprised

You have to stretch/move etc. the origin of that coordinate - because that is the measured value.

Also note when using the stretch command ordinate dimensions don't update even in
there normal state whereas Standard dimensions do even if you add comments before and after <>
Hmmm, maybe you should check that statement again ...

Is there any chance QCAD Community will ever support DWG files?
I can't imagine that but QCAD Professional can read and write dwg files.

Re: Edit Layer vs Property Editor

Moved topic to "How Do I' Questions" I expected that changes made on the Layer would reflect into Property of the line. If the "Generals Properties" in Property Editor are set to "By Layer" then all changes of the Layer Attributes are reflected on every entity. Husky-2020.01.19-01.png If you select ...
