Should this program be added to the qcad package in Debian? (or packaged separately)
Are cxf fonts used anywhere other than QCAD? If not putting it in with the program seems sensible to save people having to work out how to build and install it.

That is excellent advice - suddenly I can do hatching all over - even fancy shapes. Thank you.

mikejd - what system are you printing from (windows, Debian, Ubuntu)? what version of Qcad, what printing system (e.g. cups)? I've found that printing to ps or PDF works fine so long as I set a non-zero line width to avoid incredibly faint lines. Using a PDF printer has produced the most useful resu...

apt-get install qcad-data
should fix that. Qcad without the qcad-data package doesn't actually seem to be much practical use (as no fonts is fatal to almost any real usage)

OK, glad to hear that there is progress on this as not having DWG access is pretty limiting these days, as I'm sure you are aware. However the Open Design Alliance libraries are not freely redistributable, (unless the licencing has changed recently), nor are the libraries themselves available for do...

Thanx for the very prompt reply. I should have asked in here earlier :-) OK. Now you have said that I see that it does indeed show the answer, but you cannot see it without exapnding the size of the command-line window or using the little scroll-bar things. The bottom of the window is obscured by th...

The problem with dwg2dxf is that it needs the non-free OpenDWG library which you need to buy from OpenDWG. Reading DWG files has been declared a high-priority GNU project and a library called libreDWG is coming along nicely. This library can already turn quite complex DWG files into SVGs, and seems ...

OK thanks for that clue - that is most helpful. I have had terrible trouble with this. Especially as I don't see how to easily determine which of several lines on top of each other one has selected. In a moderately complicated drawing hatching gets to be almost impossible. It's fine to hatch a singl...

This just seems to be a bug. The distance is shown in the little status window at 2nd-from-bottom-left, but that is all. If you use the measure angle function then it really doesn't show the answer anywhere. What I'm not sure of is exactly how it is expected to show the answer. In a dialog?
