648QCAD BugtrackerQCAD (main)Feature RequestLowConfigurable behavior for line patterns at weight 0.00AssignedLeo Potjewijd Task Description

A line with linestyle = dots and line weight = 0.00 appears in model space overly spaced, all other lineweights behave as expected.
Suspect other linestyles to behave in a similar fashion.

See attached drawing.

Suggested fix: use the same scaling for lineweight 0.00 as for lineweight 0.05.

657 QCAD BugtrackerQCAD (main)Feature RequestLow Auto Zoom applied too often ClosedLeo Potjewijd Task Description

Auto Zoom should not be applied every time you go back and forth between editing a block and the main drawing.
At least, not by default: it just isn’t practical. QCAD2 didn’t do it...

844 QCAD BugtrackerQCAD (main)Feature RequestLow user defined line styles and weights ClosedLeo Potjewijd Task Description

It would be nice to have the possibility to design and use your own line styles, in addition to the built-in ones.
Also nice to have are user defined line weights, in addition to the built-in ones.

845 QCAD BugtrackerQCAD (main)Feature RequestLow Scale factor for dimensions ClosedLeo Potjewijd Task Description

Introduce scale factor for linear dimension entities.

Original request was:

It would be nice to have the possibility to enter dimensions in the form of a formula and still show up as a ‘normal’ dimension.
This would greatly help in creating details in a different scale (say, 5:1) than the rest of the drawing.
Creating details is quite often necessisary for small objects (when lines are too close together to distinguish at 1:1) if the drawing must be legible to mere humans...

Now one must calculate and manually enter all dimensions for the detail after scaling (and re-calculate every time something gets modified), this is quite error prone.
Exploding the dimensions before scaling is not a real option: the arrowheads and texts then get scaled, too, wich is undesirable.
Scaling back, modifying and then repeating the process is also not quite on the mark: small errors creep in due to finite precision in the calculations made during the scaling.

656 QCAD BugtrackerQCAD (main)Feature RequestVery Low Data should not be in programs directory ClosedLeo Potjewijd Task Description

QCAD2 offered the user to specify in the program settings where these directories should be/go, and took the first one in each list as default; QCAD3 only offers to enter auxiliary library and template directories and has no provisions for defaults.

All associated data (scipts, templates, libraries, patterns, fonts) is stored under the program directory, exactly where it should not be. Windows 7 and higher default prevent modifying the programs directory by redirecting the writes.
An extra user-input during the Windows install process would be in order.

QCAD3 should offer the user to specify any and all data directories involved (including the auto save), and make it possible to specify a default for each.
This list could be initialised with the installation defaults, or default to the installation directories when empty.
