Hi,

since 3.19.2 the Stretch tool looks for any selection and follows the specification “Only stretch selected entities if there is a selection”.

That is a nice feature but it leads many times to confusing because I have to deselect a selection just because I need to use the stretch tool on something else on the fly. The same if I “forgot” a selection outside of my zoom which is still important for me. The stretch tool just won’t work without any message why not. My routine now is that I terminate every selection just before I use the stretch tool just not to be surprised by “why isn’t it working”?

It would be nice to have in the Stretch option bar a checkbox to turn the “only selection feature” on or off. QCAD should remember that setting.

QGroupBox widgets with <property name=”checkable”> are not saved in Qcad3.conf

Module mise à plat d’un cone

Serait il possible dans un futur d’ajouter un module de mise en plan de cone.

Une petite fenêtre sur lequel on donne par exemple :
1- Ø haut
2- angle de coupe du haut
3- hauteur du cône
4- Ø bas
5- angle du bas
6- épaisseur matière

Ce qui permettrai de sortir une mise en plan a plat de la forme

Still working on creating HPGL.PLT toolpaths for the HP7580 pen plotter. QCAD has some trouble creating toolpaths. Too often it shuts itself down, or the PC gets stalled.

Recreating the same error however is possible

QCAD/CAM misses a hpgl.plt import. If gerber and G-code can, so should plt.

Still working with and on CAM HPGL for the HP7580 pen plotter.

I have added a penplotter test drawing, that might be used for testing en callibrating plotter and pens. You may add it to the Examples-directory.

QCAD has a lot of trouble creating toolpaths and exports. Much too often it shuts itself down, or gets stalled. Why? I am not sure.

Add SPx; with x being pen number from 1-8.

TODO:
- Which color corresponds to which pen number?
- What if there are more than 8 colors in a DXF files?

Add support for importing Carbide Create files (.c2d).

Format is JSON based, human readable.

I would really appreciate if we could get the same function for parallel lines to place a line exactly in the center of both lines.

There is the Synchronize attributes feature which works well. But It affects only block references in the active layout(modelspace, block layout). If I want to synchronize attributes of block references in in another blocks, i have to manually go through all blocks and run synchronize attributes feature. That is the reason I would like to modify Synchronize attributes feature to affect all block references in a drawing, or add new Deep synchronize attributes feature.

Identical scale expression used in Print Preview like 5:1, 5/1, 5”=1”, 5 are working flawless like expected.
Same expression used in a Viewport scale leads to different outcomes.

The Property Editor used to fix that in Paper_Space does also not accept those standard expressions.

When using the SHIFT key while dragging the end point a perpendicular guide line is displayed (see attached screenshot).
It would be very helpful if other guide lines with x=const. and y= const. are displayed when pressing SHIFT + ALT key together while dragging.

We currently have a paper-space using two viewports with different layers from the model-space frozen. Unfortunately in the pdf output the layers which are frozen show up.
dwg2pdf should obey the specific frozen layer for each viewport

When trying to plot a dwg or a dxf to pdf where the viewport is orientated to a different angle than north up
the data in the view port is plotted north up.

Creating G-code for cnc-laser, the laser-tool can not be correctly set at all.

It would be nice to be able to adjust the zoom factor so that the scale on the screen matches a ruler which I lay on the screen.

Improving the performance of the exceptional use of the processors when switching from the model to the paper space (testing with the attached file) the functionalities of the commands for the viewports are too low in the paper space.

we know that you need to have always software performance in your mind to decide which features / tools can / should be implemented and on which way.

I really appreciate your effort to find the best middle way between software features and performance but I think also it’s a tough call to appraise worldwide the overall customer equipment to make the software workable to the best for everybody. That isn’t possible without compromise.

Maybe it would make sense to think about a new dialog in the “Application Preferences” to let the user decide what kind of feature are absolutely needed regarding to his/her work-task / equipment. I don’t mean that you need to cover every single thing but the main “performance jeopardy’s” should be covered with an on/off switch.

Yes I know - that isn’t done in 5 minutes but I think that can make your life easier in the long run and will cover even more customer.

Right-click on the tools on the left-hand side of the screen brings you back in the hierarchy.

However, that does not work if you right-click while hovering above a button that that is shaded (inactive).

This would be nice.
It will save a lot mouse - keypad changes for me.

When selecting multiple blocks that contain the same attribute names, attribute properties appear with the values of the last selected block instead of “various”. I do not know if this is a “bug” or developer option, but “various” would be better in my opinion.
