FS#1373 - Line From Angle - additional option to select exisitng angle from entity
Often I find myself clicking on an existing line to determine the angle from the property editor, then copying and pasting this info into the angle field, it would be so very useful to have an additional option in the ‘Line from Angle’ tool to be able to pick an existing entity which would automatically register and fill in the angle for me,then all I would need to do would enter the length required.
Sorry Andrew, this should be a feature request.
The tool Draw > Line > Relative Angle might be more appropriate for this case:
- Enter '0' for the relative angle
- Click the existing line
- Place the new line
Never even thought of that, thanks very much. Although the same sort of option would be maybe more obvious to use added to the Line from Angle tool, just a thought!
Basically feasible with your other request: FS#1364
Having the same angle or running parallel give or take 180 degrees is exactly the same.
Practically there is no difference for QCAD to find the second position on the new to create line in either direction.
I would move to closure.
