Hello all
I have following question (maybe I just have not found how):
If I work in a layer and select a Block from Library the block is put on that Layer - fine, but the colour is not used. When clicking on block it is shown to be on correct layer and that colour is taken from that layer. If I change manualy the colour nothing happens. If I explode the block it will lose the layer. I miss a dialog for the placement of blocks.
Is there a possibility to enter DATA in commandline without having to move the mouse? I could not find a keycommand?
All the best

Re: Block Import
Please study this brief tutorial on layers, blocks and colors:

Please elaborate. That kind of data do you wish to enter? Generally speaking, you can launch tools and enter coordinates in the command line of QCAD.Is there a possibility to enter DATA in commandline without having to move the mouse?
Re: Block Import
Hello Andrew
Thanks for the link, I will study your description carefully
Regarding DATA in Commandline
What I am missing is to enter values like "@10,25" or other
Sometimes I start a line with the mouse and then when I am close to the position
I want the line to be would like to be able to enter the "Endpoint". Would ne nice to
do that without having to move the mouse.

Re: Block Import
You can definitely enter coordinates like these in the command line:Smart wrote:What I am missing is to enter values like "@10,25" or other
Absolute coordinate: x,y
Relative coordinate: @x,y
Absolute polar coordinate: distance<angle
Relative polar coordinate: @distance<angle
Re: Block Import / entering coordinates
Would be nice if it where that way
If I draw a line and pick the line from the menu, if I then want to enter the start, I have to "click"
into the commandline to enter coordinate. If I decide to enter the first point by mouse then I
have to re enter the mouse in to the commandline and "click" in order to enter the second
coordinate.
Maybe I have something wrong in the setup of Qcad?

Re: Block Import / entering coordinates
Hi Smart,
Pick the Line tool,
hit "Space" on the Keyboard,
type 25;25
hit enter
first point done ...
type 50;75
enter
second point done.
You could also use the "Space" key to get the focus on the Command Line.Smart wrote:Would be nice if it where that way
