Hi Andrew. The version I have is 3.9.3.0 (purchased in March), which suggests (from your previous) that I need to upgrade. I'll have a go at uninstalling and upgrading tomorrow (I mistakenly thought it was automatic). Also, I opened my pdf with a different reader (Microsoft Reader), which showed the drawing correctly, and this is better than Adobe, but still far from perfect. I'll let you know how I get on with the upgraded version. Thanks for your continued patience.

Hi again. I have just uninstalled and reinstalled (3.10.0), and this does seem to have solved the problem - thank you very much indeed. Next time I have a problem, I'll try to remember to check that I have the latest version number!
