I didn't see it in any of the suggestions post so here goes. Are there any plans for any kind of 3d implementation in qcad?
cheers

What I was looking for in particular was not a gl type app but a way of being able to specify a height for layers and possibly to be able to use any 2 of 3 axis, to be able to work on X and Z for instance then flip to Y and Z. In my case its for CNC work and if it could be coupled to a g-code generator it would make camexpert a very reasonably priced app in my opinion.
cheers

You might be interested to know that in CAM Expert, you can assign a Z level for each layer during export. This can for example be used to engrave with different cutting depths.
