2. Manually Reordering Entities

CAM - Manually Reorder Entities

CAM Expert offers various ways to automatically optimize a drawing. Nevertheless it is sometimes more convenient to manually specify where a contour starts and in which direction it has to be cut. This tool allows you to reorder the entities in your drawing in the way you prefer.

1. Choose the first entity of the first contour you want to be cut.
2. Set the startpoint of the contour. This can be either one of the the endpoints of the entity chosen.
3. All entities that connect to the entitiy chosen in 1. will now be reordered in a way that they form a closed contour. The reordered entities appear in a different color as a visual control. Further you can see the movement of the tool between contours in blue color.
4. Choose the first entity of the next contour and repeat steps 2 and 3. After reordering all entities, click the right mouse button to terminate the tool. You might want to use the simulation control panel to check the order of the entities again.
